Description
The quality of the workpiece depends entirely on the precision of the machine's guides, and the lubricating oil for the guides plays a very important role. Such oil must create a stable, tacky lubricating film, including in the presence of coolant and under conditions of high contact pressures, and especially at low feed rates. The stable film prevents vibration caused by stick-slip, which consequently ensures a smooth surface. The special sliding guide oils of the RENEP CGLP series were developed by FUCHS in collaboration with the Tribology Laboratory of the University of Darmstadt and SKC Technik, an expert in sliding guide coatings.
