Description
HYDROTHERM 46 M belongs to the group of HFC liquids. The product is the result of many years of research work associated with numerous practical experiences in relevant installations with increased fire hazard.
HYDROTHERM 46 M is a nitrite- and monoethylene glycol (MEG)-free, rapidly biodegradable, non-water-hazardous (WGK 0 according to clause 19g WGH), low-flammable, water-glycol-based hydraulic fluid. The 45% water content of HYDROTHERM 46 M gives optimal fire resistance. This percentage of water when the liquid comes into contact with the ignition source allows the formation of an exhaust vapor coating over the flame, thereby preventing the spread of the flame. This eliminates the dangerous “flame spreading effect”. Fire tests of the 7th Luxembourg report have been completed.
