MAINTAIN FRICOFIN HDD is a concentrated antifreeze based on monoethylene glycol with extended drain intervals, intended for use in heavily loaded mobile equipment with diesel engines, as well as in stationary, heavily loaded engines. MAINTAIN FRICOFIN HDD does not contain amines and phosphates, in combination with highly effective low-silicate anti-corrosion additives, provides the best protection for the radiator and cylinder. Reliably protects heavily loaded diesel engines from freezing, overheating and cavitation. This reliable protection extends to all metals in the engine cooling system, especially aluminum.
To ensure corrosion protection, MAINTAIN FRICOFIN HDD should not be diluted with water more than 1:2 (ie approximately 33% concentrate). This mixture allows operation down to -20°C. The optimal balance between low-temperature properties and the ability to remove heat is achieved with a dilution of 1:1 (50%), while providing protection down to -37°C. For lower temperatures, it is possible to increase the antifreeze concentration, but not more than 2:1 (about 67%), this allows operation at temperatures below -60°C, and complete freezing occurs at -70°C. It should be borne in mind that the ability of antifreeze to remove heat is significantly reduced. For this reason, increasing the concentration above 70% is not allowed.

*by “protection” we mean the temperature at which crystallization begins according to ASTM D 1177. In this case, the antifreeze remains mobile and can be pumped through the engine cooling system. Complete freezing is several degrees lower.
